§ 10-156. Purpose and authority.

It is the purpose of this division to require that all walking and vehicle tours operated in the city for profit be licensed and regulated as set forth in this article. This article is not intended to regulate walking and vehicle tours conducted by nonprofit organizations such as the Southport Historical Society, the North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport or schools. Furthermore, the provisions of this article shall not apply to tours conducted entirely off the public streets, sidewalks, rights-of-way or municipal property.
