§ 4-70. Fees.

Fees for building permits shall be based upon the total estimated cost of the proposed work, including all subcontracts, if any, but in no case shall the total estimated cost be less than the market value of similar completed work in the city as determined by the appropriate inspector. Permit fees shall be set from time to time by the board of aldermen and a schedule of such fees is on file in the city clerk's office.
